2015 SSL Research And Development Workshop Presentations Posted
February 10, 2015
Thank you to all who attended the 12th annual DOE Solid-State Lighting R&D Workshop, held January 27–29 in San Francisco. Over three full days, 300 attendees participated in both plenary and LED/OLED breakout sessions, with presentations from over 60 solid-state lighting experts and special opening remarks from 2014 Nobel Laureate Shuji Nakamura.
This year, DOE merged its two SSL R&D workshops into a single meeting to gather all aspects of the supply chain, and the large turnout generated a robust and exciting exchange of ideas on SSL research, product development, and manufacturing R&D needs. The input gathered from attendees will inform updates to DOE’s SSL R&D Plan, which is widely consulted by government and industry both here and abroad, and also guides DOE’s SSL funding solicitations. If you want to contribute but were unable to attend, or if you didn’t get a chance to turn in your input forms, you can find them online. Please submit your thoughts by February 27.
The workshop presentations and materials have been posted. We invite you to review this information and continue to check the website for further updates.
