ELP Launches New LED Luminaire Website

November 11, 2016

ELP, manufacturer of specification grade lighting fixtures, launches a new website featuring the latest LED luminaires. The site offers easy access to product information, IES and Revit files and focuses on newly developed LED lines while still allowing access to past legacy products.

El Monte, California October 2016, ELP (Engineered Lighting Products) announces the debut of its LED focused website. Specifiers may easily maneuver through recently developed LED fixtures with totally separate access to older, legacy products if desired. The fresh new site incorporates over 30 years of ELP specialty lighting to enhance architectural spaces. Additionally, technical information on products is only a click away with quick access to IES & Revit files and even installation instructions.

ELP was established in 1985 to utilize new technology for developing more effective and efficient luminaires. Designs specialize in unobtrusive fixtures with reflectors that optimize the light source to inconspicuously illuminate environments without glare, providing the appropriate quality and quantity of light for the task. Over the last three years, the most popular ELP Series of luminaries have transitioned to incorporate LED options. Both LED and Legacy (non-LED) products are now accessed separately on the site so specifiers can focus only on products relevant to their project. New LED cuts featured on the site provide more technical information than ever before. Updated performance information lists total fixture lumens for each model utilizing the most current LED modules available. Most cuts also offer a lighting level layout as a performance example.

Luminaires utilizing Osram’s PrevaLED™ Generation 3 LED modules yield 38% more light than the original distributed arrays from 2013. These increased levels are reflected on the new catalog cuts on the site. A couple of the more notable big performance fixtures are the AK Series, 888W1WW-AK four foot wall wash providing up to 12,038 fixture lumens at only 88 watts and the CL Series cove lights offering up to 2222 lumens per foot. In addition to ELP’s popular wall washers, coves, downlights, step lights and exterior low level floodlights, the company is widely known for its specialty fixtures.

ELP’s unique “Hole In The Wall” and “Hole In The Ceiling” cast GRG (Glassfiber Reinforced Gypsum) fixtures have won acclaimed recognition across the country. When originally introduced, the Hole In The Ceiling won Lightfair International’s “Best New Down Light” category. These patented, cast products integrate into the structure and become part of the wall or ceiling, without any visible metal in the normal viewing angles. Once installed, they appear to be a custom built drywall light niche. However, the fixtures achieving the most domestic and international success are the indirect Video Conferencing 2 x 2 luminaires.  The VT Series Video Conference fixtures are specified and sold world-wide by ELP and two other renowned US manufacturers.

Designers can take the guess work out of specifying appropriate products by utilizing the performance information on the site. IES and Revit files for all LED products are available to download. Additionally, IES files have been re-named to actual catalog numbers for ease of selection. To balance the technical side with the beauty of final results, the Projects Section has many new installations available for viewing, featuring ELP luminaires.

According to the Department of Energy (DOE) website, “Solid-state lighting (SSL) technology has the potential to reduce U.S. lighting energy usage by nearly one-half and contribute significantly to our nation's climate change solutions.” ELP is committed to be part of those solutions. Over the years, ELP has been granted several U.S. Patents for innovative fixture designs that provide superior answers for today’s lighting challenges. The future is bright for this boutique lighting manufacturer as they continue to utilize new technology for developing more effective and efficient luminaires.
