Eaton Makes Colorful Luminaires Standard With Mix And Match Options For Designers And Architects

July 13, 2018

Power management company Eaton today announced the Shaper 1400 and Shaper 1800 series of architectural pendants, which deliver decorative, mix and match color options as standard, making it easier to meet lighting design requirements while staying on budget. The architectural LED luminaires are also available in custom color options, and deliver improved optical performance to enhance restaurants, retail stores, schools, healthcare facilities, and more.

“Designers and architects are looking for opportunities to reflect the unique environment and further enhance the aesthetics of the spaces they design, and there are not many colorful luminaire options available that provide both smart technology and performance,” said Ryan Rodau, general manager, Architectural Products, Eaton’s Lighting Division. “The new Shaper performance pendants combine fun and function with over 3,000 standard color combinations, and the ability to create over one million custom options – all available for delivery within four weeks, delivering aesthetic ambience without sacrificing performance.”

First, the Shaper 1400 small dome pendants provide a wide range of standard color selections, allowing designers to mix and match the fixture’s shade, trim and cord color. The Shaper 1800 large performance pendants also provide mix and match color options with a wide variety of standard shade and trim colors, delivering excellent uniformity and distributions. The Shaper 1400 pendant can be mounted with a ten-foot decorative color power cord while the Shaper 1800 pendant can be mounted with a ten-foot aircraft cable, and a rigid stem is available for both series in three-foot, four-foot or eight-foot lengths.

The Shaper 1400 and 1800 performance pendants come in a multitude of painted color options and metal finishes. Users can select from the standard RAL or Pantone paint selections, or they can color match any two-tone colors to personalize the architectural LED luminaires to the space. The shade and trim are currently available in 12 finishes, and power cords for the Shaper 1400 series are currently available in 14 standard selections.

The Shaper 1800 is also compatible with Eaton’s connected lighting systems, including LumaWatt Pro Wireless Connected Lighting System powered by Enlighted, WaveLinx Wireless Connected Lighting System, Distributed Low-Voltage Power (DLVP) System and ConnectWorks. The connected lighting systems enable sensing and communication capabilities within the fixture itself, allowing building owners to increase operating efficiency through controls and data, helping end users to make better business decisions.
