IES Recognizes AmpChamp RGB And RGBW Connectors From Alloy LED For Technical Achievement
August 24, 2022
Alloy LED, a leading designer and manufacturer of premium quality LED tape lights, today announced that the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Committee has recognized its AmpChamp™ RGB and RGBW Terminal Connectors for inclusion in the 2022 IES Progress Report. The Report showcases products that provide significant technical advancement in the art and science of lighting over the last year.
“We’ve engineered the AmpChamp connectors from the ground up after realizing the industry’s need for connectors that provide secure and reliable connections to eliminate slippage and connections that loosen over time,” said Joe Flynn, president, Alloy LED. “We are proud that the committee has recognized our products for uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry.”
The AmpChamp™ family of RGB and RGBW connectors is the world’s first UL Recognized terminal connectors for color-changing tape lights. Featuring a unique, patent-pending design, the connectors offer secure, fast and reliable tape light to wire connections for high amp applications, while enabling longer tape light runs on a single connector. The connectors also accommodate tape lights as narrow as 0.4 inches (10 millimeters) and support the most/highest number of connections within the smallest space.
The IES Progress Committee is mandated to keep in touch with developments in the art and science of lighting throughout the world and provides a yearly review of achievements that demonstrate progress in the industry. The Progress Report includes important new products, research, publications and design tools.
The 2022 IES Progress Report was presented at the IES Annual Conference held in New Orleans on August 18 to 20 and will continue to be presented at local IES Section meetings throughout the coming year. A summary of the Report will be published in the November issue of Lighting Design and Application (LD+A) magazine and posted on the IES website.
