Intense Lighting, Inc., an industry leader in high-quality, specification-grade lighting products, is proud to introduce the addition of the IVR2- RPS to its V-Rail product line. This second generation, solid state luminaire utilizes a remote 24V Class 2 power supply and offers a sleek, minimalistic, architectural design.

Like the IVR2, both products are uniquely designed to illuminate stairways, ramps and paths. V-Rail provides enough light to meet the minimum illumination of 10 fc (108 lux) as measured on the walking surface, and as mandated by the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code. V-Rail is an extremely energy efficient product and offers the highest lumens per watt in the industry. Compared to the competition, V-Rail consumes 45% less energy and delivers more than double the average foot candles.

The original IVR2 series featured an integral power supply within the post assembly requiring a larger, robust post design. However, with a remote power source, the new IVR2-RPS offers a slim 2” diameter post, and the wall brackets feature a clean, architectural design. The IVR2-RPS is available with three different mounting options; the post mount, the embedded mount and the wall mount, which is ideal for installation when a wall or a vertical surface is present. By offering a remote power source, the IVR2-RPS provides more installation options and flexibility with a sleeker design.

The V-Rail optical system includes a unique patent-pending reflector that allows for precise symmetrical and asymmetrical light distribution. Factory preset distributors include 60 degree symmetric, 20 degree symmetric and 30 degree asymmetric. Providing the ultimate in flexibility, the V-Rail reflector can be adjusted allowing for precision aiming. The optical system achieves full cut-off and is IDA-approved™.

The IVR2-RPS is capable of delivering high levels of uniform light at an excess of 10-foot candles on the path. It exceeds light levels as required by safety codes such as ANSI and NFPA. The LED light source offers 50,000 hours of life at 70 percent lumen maintenance. Offering strength, durability and longevity, the V-Rail is available in 6005-75 aluminum or 304 stainless steel construction. For severe or corrosive environments, 316 stainless steel is available.

Some of the product's other unique features include dimming and emergency options, IDA “Dark Sky” approved, compliance with the Buy American provisions of the ARRA, UL Wet Location listed and therefore suitable for both interior and exterior applications, standard and custom infill options, stainless steel, tamper proof hardware, security installation tools, mounting height options for stairway or guardrail applications and much more.
