InterLumi Panama 2016 Made Its Inauguration In A Complete Success

InterLumi Panama, held its first edition from July 6 - 8 2016, at ATLAPA Convention Center this summer. Attracting over 120 companies from 18 countries/regions and 1,977 high quality visitors from 27 countries/regions, InterLumi Panama 2016 has launched its first step to introduce LATAM’s lighting market to the whole world.

During the first InterLumi, exhibitors and visitors from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Cuba, Costa Rica, Dominica, Ecuador, Finland, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mexico, The Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Portugal, El Salvador, Spain, Taiwan, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, UAE, USA and Venezuela showed their great support and most of them praised the professionalism of the fair and revealed their interest in participating the next year show.

“InterLumi Panama is a platform that allows traders and foreign businessmen to penetrate into new markets such as Panama and surrounding markets. We believe it is a very good initiative. Therefore, we are giving it full support and we believe we will have a great success.” commented by Mr. Osiris Volquez, President of HP Winner Dominican Branch Office.

General Manager of Feilo Sylvania, Mr. Roger Heron also spoke highly of InterLumi Panama. “InterLumi has been very well with us and have given us all of your support and hopefully we can continue to work with you.”
 
“I think that this region is lacking a professional specialize in lighting and renewable energy light fair, especially for Central America and the Caribbean.” Mr. Omar Sanchez, Operation Manager of Sirenergy Group noted, “So I think InterLumi will be an excellent platform because Panama offers us many possibilities for this. We have excellent facilities in the country and all these aspects will make the different for future editions.”

“I have been very happy about the quality of people that is coming here and are interested in what American companies are bringing to the table and that’s very exciting for us.” said Mr. Ron Castro, Director Sales Latin America at Evluma.

Through the show there exhibited a wide range of products and technologies which included commercial lights, control & management devices, decorative lights, electric lamps, emergency lights, energy & power supplies, intelligent lighting, lighting accessories & components, outdoor lights & street lights, plant factory lighting, production & measurement equipment, residential / workplace lights and special application lights.

Mr. Fred Maduro from Ecoleader Holding shared his opinion during the interview, “Visitors feedback has been very good here. We have met suppliers and people interested in our brand from Bolivia and Venezuela, just to name a few. Our lights serve to theaters, sports, roads… It is amazing and endless about the amount of things we could offer and we had a good deal so far.”

Similarly, Mr. Martin Alvarez from Blue Sun expressed that “The fair has been a platform that has enabled us to present the wide range of products we have, not only locally but also at the regional level. It’s a situation that has been very positive with both customers and with potential providers.”

Canadian exhibitor Jeff Peters, President of Urban Solar said, “We have seen people here from Ecuador, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and they are very interested in looking at our technology for their countries and their regions where they either don’t have access to power or the power is unreliable. We are very excited and there’s lots of great feedback from all the attendees.”

In parallel with the first edition of InterLumi Panama, Efficient Lighting Forum - Central America, the concurrent event, attracted people’s great attention as well. Speakers including academic experts, representatives from the governmental office, leading brands in lighting industry and professional lighting media presented 10 exceptional speeches during the first two days of the fair. As a platform for enhancing in-depth communication of the latest technology, design and market trend, Efficient Lighting Forum gained high recognition and acknowledgement from both speakers and audiences.

“One of the most important things to understand during these days of fair is to learn to know how new efficient lighting systems works and how to educate people coming to this fair, show them what all exhibitors are bringing to show.” Dr. Abdiel Osvan Pino from Technological University of Panama added after given his speech in the Forum.

Editor of iCandela Magazine, Mr. Victor Jordá Bordoy remarked, “I think InterLumi is a necessary tool for the integration of Panama with the rest of the markets because without a fair to organize all this we would have no way of reuniting all this people with a common interest. This type of event represents a special attractive not only for its market potential but also for the interest in the Efficient Lighting Forum. It is important that the customer can get to know the reality and the current market and technological trends.”
