LaMar Lighting Launches LED Express For Troffers
September 24, 2014
LaMar Lighting Company has received UL approval to offer many of its recessed fluorescent fixtures with various types of modular LED light engines. With one of the broadest product lines in the industry, LaMar can now factory-install LED engines in most of its linear fluorescent fixtures, including surface- and pendant-mount luminaires, through the LED Express capability.
LED Express offers a lighting solution that delivers the energy savings of LED technology while allowing for easy fixture installation, maintenance, and part replacement. Customers can select a luminaire and then specify one of three robust, high-quality modular LED engine options: an LED engine driven by a fluorescent ballast, a built-in LED driver or an external LED driver. All fixtures are factory-wired for safe and easy installation and comply with UL standards. Each option can accommodate the specific project needs of new construction or retrofit.
Fixtures with ballast-driven LED engines present a cost-effective and easy path to the benefits of LED lighting. Some models are compatible with programmed-start and dimming ballasts and an emergency battery backup suitable for fluorescent lamps. As both LED engines and ballasts are rated for about 50,000 hours, they can be easily and cost-effectively replaced, ensuring the longevity of the fixture. Modular LED engines offer efficiencies of 110 lumens or more per watt and beam angles of up to 240˚.
Luminaires with internal LED drivers offer up to 2,500 lumens at 22.5W at the lamp. They feature all new components and polycarbonate sockets with recessed contacts to ensure a straightforward installation, presenting a fast and easy alternative to LED retrofits in the field.
Four-foot external driver LED engines provide up to 2,900 lumens at 29W at the lamp and up to 60,000 hour rated life. Customers can select among three color temperatures (3,500K, 4,100K and 5,000K), two- and four-foot lamp sizes and optional 0-10V dimming, bi-level operation and battery backup.
Provided by leading manufacturers, the lamps are suitable for damp and dry indoor locations. They generate zero UV emissions and come on instantly with full light output. Most LED engines are DesignLights Consortium® (DLC) approved and qualify for rebates. LaMar Lighting offers a number of modular LED engines made in the USA and provides driver and LED engine warranty for up to five years.
