Linear Disconnect Brochure from Cooper Lighting
December 21, 2007
The code, which goes into effect January 1, 2008, requires that all lighting fixtures with double-ended fluorescent lamps with a ballast(s), incorporate a luminaire ballast disconnect. All fluorescent Cooper Lighting brands, which includes Metalux, Fail-Safe, Neo-ray, and Corelite, offer code compliant internal linear disconnect with their fixtures.
A Linear Disconnect provides a safe, reliable means of disconnecting power to the fixture during service and maintenance. Cooper Lighting supplies every linear fluorescent luminaire with a pre-wired internal disconnect for the safety of customers and users.
