Harvard Engineering has launched a new range of Rapid Plug electronic ballasts for use with 20W-150W HID lamps. Rapid Plug remote mounted ballasts are ideal for use in retail display lighting as they reduce contractor installation time and give more surge protection than ever before.

No longer do ballasts need on site wiring as Rapid Plug ballasts feature 'plug and go' connections to mains and luminaire. GST connections eliminate the need for on site wiring and make installation quick and simple, saving contractors time and money.

Other key benefits include a unique 4Kv surge protection which gives greater protection than other ballasts currently available. Ballasts can also be remotely operated from up to 25m away from the luminaire.

Current Rapid Plug products available are suitable for 20W-150W HID lamps with operating range of 220-240V. 120V operation is available on request.

Rapid Plug ballasts have ENEC approval.
