Nora Lighting Employees Remember 9/11 With Memorial Service
September 16, 2014
With a moment of silence and a prayer of hope, Nora Lighting employees honored the 3,000 Americans who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
The memorial service was attended by more than 125 Nora employees on Patriot Day, September 11, 2014. The company continued a 12-year tradition of remembering 9/11 with an on-site commemoration. During the service, Nora staff also paid tribute to American servicemen and women on active duty around the world.
The event is typically convened by Nora President Fred Farzan, who was out of town this year. He was very touched that the Nora staff planned the event on their own and he said: “Like most Americans, we will never forget the tragic events of 9/11. It is fitting on this Day of Remembrance to reflect on those who lost their lives and to also honor those Americans who now serve our country in troubled places,” he said.
