Progress Lighting Recalls Pendant Light Fixtures

About 6,000 pendant-style ceiling-mounted indoor light fixtures, made in China and imported by Progress Lighting are being recalled because the ceiling-mount assembly that supports the light fixture can fail, causing the fixture to fall and injure consumers. The company has received three reports of incidents, including one of a fixture falling from the ceiling. No injuries have been reported. The product was sold at electrical and lighting distributors and select Home Depot and Expo Design Centers nationwide from January 2005 through May this year.
