Shorwood Fixture Adds Classic Charm, Updated Lighting To Historic Neighborhoods

May 04, 2009

The Shorewood vintage-style luminaire from Sun Valley Lighting is designed to enhance historic neighborhoods and traditional civic districts with classic styling, while offering energy-efficient illumination.

The fixture hood houses a computer-designed specular-segmented reflector which, combined with a clear acrylic diffuser, offers precise cutoff optics in Type II, III, IV or V square light distributions.  Shorewood can be wall or pole mounted and features an integral, self-contained ballast compartment with “quick disconnect” capability. This allows the electrical module to be unplugged and replaced in seconds during routine servicing or maintenance. The luminaire is UL-listed for damp or wet locations and houses lamps up to 250 watts.

The fixture features a rounded dome and curved base with vintage detailing. The wall-mounted model is 31” high and has a 22” tall scrolled arm that extends 25” from the wall. The matching pole-mounted Shorewood is 44” high.  Fixture arm and housing are constructed from heavy wall corrosion-resistant cast aluminum material, designed to withstand even the most severe climates. Shorewood features a textured electrostatically-applied acrylic enamel finish baked at 400° for maximum durability.

A range of standard colors is available, including dark bronze, black, white and silver. Custom colors can be provided upon request. For more information about the Shorewood, contact Sun Valley Lighting at 800-877-6537 or visit the website at www.sunvalleylighting.com.
