The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published ANSI C136.31-2018 American National Standard for Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment—Luminaire Vibration. Developed by the ANSI Committee for Roadway and Area Lighting, this Standard describes the minimum vibration capability and vibration test methods for roadway and area luminaires.
“This revision includes clarification and guidance on the requirements for test setup, value determination and measurement, operation, and evaluation. Furthermore, the vibration test levels were expanded to include common materials found in newer lighting technologies,” said Luke Siefker, Standard Technical Coordinator, Acuity Brands.
ANSI C136.31-2018 is available in hard copy or as an electronic download for $45 on the NEMA website.
