Power management company Eaton today announced that more than 20,000 of its light-emitting diode (LED) luminaires are listed on the DesignLights Consortium™ (DLC) Qualified Product List (QPL). The QPL is a leading industry resource that distinguishes quality, high-performing LED products for commercial and industrial projects from more than 800 manufacturers. Eaton’s LED products represent the broadest portfolio available on the DLC list and currently have the most qualified products in 19 of the 23 indoor and outdoor luminaire categories.
“We are committed to providing our customers with high performing, energy-saving and reliable products that meet the strict standards of the DesignLights Consortium,” said Kraig Kasler, president, Eaton’s Lighting Division.” “The DLC Qualified Products List brings confidence on product quality and performance assurance to utilities, lighting specifiers and property owners that are selecting energy-efficient products to support their sustainable design practices.”
Today, Eaton has 23,036 products of the 140,690 total qualified products listed to date. Eaton’s products include indoor and outdoor luminaires from the company’s top product lines including Halo®, Metalux™, Corelite, McGraw-Edison, Lumark®, Invue®, Streetworks® and Crouse-Hinds®. Eaton’s LED products include outdoor area and roadway luminaires; parking garage/canopy luminaires; outdoor wall-mount, floodlight and bollard luminaires; high-bay and low-bay products; track lighting fixtures and troffer-type fixtures, among others.
The DLC program has driven the lighting market toward innovation by providing information, education, tools and technical expertise for cutting-edge technologies over its 17-year history. The DLC has administered the QPL since 2010 and products listed meet established minimum performance criteria defined by a third party organization. Today, the QPL sets the bar for utility efficiency program incentives across the U.S. and Canada, helping utilities stay on top of the latest manufacturer product developments.
The DLC helps builders, architects, designers and commercial property owners from across the nation incorporate improved design practices in all areas of commercial lighting market. By providing members with resources and information on reliable LED solutions, the DLC hopes to ensure that high-quality, energy-efficient lighting design becomes commonplace in all lighting installations.
